Salamanca and Madrid

A weekend in Spain for Mark and Julia's Wedding · July 2018

July has been filled with weddings of good friends - and the end of July was Mark and Julia’s in Salamanca. The city center is lovely to visit, with historic cathedrals, small streets and lots of opportunities for tapas and beer. I rounded off the weekend with a visit to Madrid to go to the Thyssen museum, which was excellent.

Here are some photos and two running videos from my trip:

If you have time in Madrid you should visit the Thyssen-Bornemisza museum. The audio tour is worth the small cost - it’s pairing with the arrangement of galleries is great, and it leads you through the history and development of art from the 12th Century.
