Talk: Personal website with Astro in 15 minutes

Last night I gave a talk at GlasgowJS on how to build a personal website with Astro in 15 minutes. Alistair Forbes also presented on volunteering with the Scottish Tech Army.
Many people ask me how to get started with finding work as a developer. I’m often suprised by how many don’t have a website, particularly when looking for front-end roles. I wanted to show how easy it is to get a website with a blog and feed up and running. I wanted to emphasise that as a developer a “personal” site can be as good as a “portfolio” site for showing your work and generating leads. Aside from the benefits for your career I’ve found having a personal website useful for connecting with like-minded people, and for self-reflection over the years.
